This video makes me want to build up my GTO to the crazy amount I require and then ship it to the Europe to drive around and take some laps on Nurburgring.

Yesterday would’ve been a great day to come to the ring, we were there with 17 cars. I can tell you from experience it’s even a lot of fun in something relatively underpowered.

Fixed that for me. Driving my own $50k+ modded car like that seems terrifying. Then you crash and they charge you for the fence.

They’ll charge for the fence anyway. Having said that, the risk to your car is mostly determined by the risks you take as a driver. It didn’t feel overly dangerous when I was cruising along the ‘ring yesterday.

I rented a car and lapped the ring, well worth it.

That’s no fun! No one said drive like you don’t care. I just want to take my own car.

Oh I am not particularly worried about the power. I more want the better suspension, chassis mods, and brake upgrades that I plan. Of course more power would be nice too, but not necessary.

I wouldn’t mind taking my own car if it weren’t for the other people around there. Although I have a lot of faith in the self-selection skills of people choosing to take on the Ring, I just don’t want to end up in some weird legal battle in Europe while trying to get my car fixed because some guy in an S2000 had never actually gotten the car up to 17,000RPM until today :D

That is a very fair point... But I might still risk it.
